Organize public prayer vigils calling for an end to the use of Florida’s death penalty
Contact Gov. Charlie Crist and tell him to STOP signing Death Warrants. Call for a “Time-Out on Executions” in order to thoroughly review and openly assess Florida’s Death Penalty system and re-allocation of the tens of millions of taxpayer dollars spent every year. In addition to the obvious reasons to end our state’s killing of captive prisoners…it is insanely expensive (over $50 million a year), mistake-prone (over 23 Fla. Death Row exonerations), and totally unnecessary (the alternative is permanent incarceration). Gov. Crist has the authority to decide whether or not to sign Death Warrants.
